Not sure we mailed it in on that last drive. That had the stink of Muschamp on it.

Special teams

When's the last time we had two of those in one game?

Thank goodness. ST is the only reason the final score might look respectable.

I concur about the score looking better, but also don’t diminish special teams as maybe the biggest part of the game. There are so few special teams plays in any game, yet they can sway the game so greatly - way more per play than offense or defense.

Definitely not diminishing it. I just wish our offense could have put up more points of their own.

It all starts with the OL and I just don't understand how year after year, no matter the coach, no matter if it is veteran linemen, we just can't block and can't open up any holes for our backs. The OL was horrendous tonight, no other way to describe it. Rattler will be running for his life every game, how long before these SEC defenses put him out. Ugly offense tonight to put it mildly and the coverage guys were beat all night, thankfully GA ST didn't have a QB that could throw.

Vanilla offense...didn't want to show to much. 😁

Seriously, this is on Satterfield. This is his offense. Hot seat....

Yeah. Jefferson is gonna light us up next week.

And, it will be inhumane what UGA does to us.

OL is just trash.

Rattler made a couple mistakes but I actually thought he looked comfortable and poised in the pocket. He was pressured a good bit and had zero run support.

Agree Rattler was fine, a couple of mistakes, he should not have to run for his life every play, it will soon affect his play mentally.

One awful decision and one poorly thrown ball. He also put the ball at very high risk a couple other times.

Hoping for the win, but does it really matter? I don't see this team winning an SEC game. Even Vandy looks better than us.
Vandy has played two of the worst teams in the nation. Let’s not rush to judgement just yet.

Never be disappointed with a win. I expected you all to get beat, that team isn’t bad. At least you didn’t lay an egg like we did a few years ago against them. Week 1 is gone and you boys are undefeated.

As with most seasons. Things are not as bad as they seem. When we beat someone we shouldn’t, things will also not be as good as they seem in that moment.
Rattler overall was solid. Oline was terrible.
Outside that we didn’t show much didn’t blitz much. Eh….. onward

One game, the first game, is not a barometer for how a season will go. You will know what you have and what's in store after 3-4 games.

Yep, Arkansas and Georgia should be fairly good barometers.
Actually, I think we could lose both of those games and still be a pretty good team. I wish we had a Mizzou or a Tennessee next on the schedule. The way our schedule lines up, we could be 3-2 and be a pretty good team or we could be 3-2 and be a pretty bad team. I don't think we'll know what we really have until mid-October.

I circled, pre-season, Arkansas as one of 3 games that we will be underdogs in but have a chance to win, which will define our season. The other 2 are Kentucky and Tennessee.
I do not think we stand a chance in hell of containing KJ Jefferson.

My bar for "pretty good" requires a minimum of 6 wins in the regular season.

Mine's actually a little higher than that. But I don't know how much the next 4 games will tell us about our ability to achieve that goal (unless we win one of the next two or lose one of the two after that, of course, but I don't expect either to happen).
