Ashford put 3 on the board....what game are you watching? Sellers has one good play in the entire half. What am I missing?
How is that any different than Sellers without the game experience?
Sellers put 7. Ashford put 3 on a short field.
And again, Ashford has tape dude. He sucked at both schools he played for. You’re missing a lot.
Sellers may end up sucking. But we know what we have in Ashford. You may not…but Oregon, Auburn, and our staff does. He had one good run in all those plays he was in. We’re in trouble if we have to play Ashford. Sellers is at least young and getting his feet wet. He has a bit of an excuse at this point in his career. Ashford. No. Imagine being a bad QB at Oregon…with all the players they got.
Seriously, get over calling for Ashford. It ain’t happening.
We hoping to improve. We’re going to have to take our lumps and develop a player with potential. With Ashford we’re ****. You’re basically asking to just be ok with being ****. Robbie Ashford is not the answer. Anywhere he’s been. We don’t want to just resolve to being ****.
I don't know what you can possibly say to me to convince me that Sellers is not Pinkins reincarnated! His passing mechanics, and awareness are way below what an SEC QB should be! Even his wide open passes are ugly and behind the receiver.
I'm watching the game where we were GIVEN the ball in field goal range. At least he didn't turn it over.
A QB that protects the ball and punts gives you a chance. A QB that gives the other team a short field because of turnovers doesn't.
IMHO, Sellers is one year away. He is not ready today. But I'm afraid he is the best we have today.
I feel very fortunate that we have the lead going into halftime. In typical fashion, Kentucky has found a running back we absolutely cannot stop.

You clearly didn’t watch Pinkins. You’re just naming a black starter that we had under Holtz.
One, Pinkins was not really a runner. He was built like a fullback. Sellers has so much more ability than Dondrial Pinkins ever did.
In addition, you’ve made up your mind watching 6 quarters of a RS Freshman play. Pinkins didn’t start as a RS Frseshman. He’s nowhere near as fast as Sellers and certainly doesn’t have the arm strength of Sellers. But yes, both are black…but you always saw all of Pinkins disappointing career and you’re putting Sellers in his category after 6 quarters.
Of course I can’t convince you. Because you took two incomparable QBs and labeled them together. Hard to convince someone when they don’t know dick about something.
You know who else sucked in their first 4-5 starts with an amazing team around them? Connor Shaw. The same guy that thinks Sellers could be the best QB we’ve had based on potential.
the kid has to develop. He has to be given room to make mistakes. Just be patient man.
I guess Ashford just can't be any good because of his past.....that is such a dumb response!
I've stopped watching and started watching my neighbors 16 yr old tring to figure out how to use a pole saw. It's much more entertaining
But hes not a freshman. Hes in year 2. And has played in games last year. In modern football, most QBs by year 2 can show if they have a high ceiling or not. He will get better but not drastically. Hes gonna be average
No I am comparing Sellers to Pinkins because they were both horrible in the passing game!
And holy commercial, I don’t know if it’s just on our ESPN streaming app, but I can’t recall when I’ve seen so many commercials. And so many of the same commercial.
You don't have time in the SEC to develop a QB. These are our easy games. You don't win now you are looking at a 3 win season!
Yeah, the offense of line is not doing great, but he’s had a couple times where I thought he could’ve broke it to the outside or something and he just doesn’t seem to have quickness
Just glanced at the Ky board. They say our DL is destroying their OL. They are critical of Stoops. Saying their AD will give Stoops another unmerited extension. They sound like us,

Forget arguing Sellers against Pinkins. This started because you wanted Ashford. Ok…so what does Ashford do so much better than “Pinkins” or Sellers?
He's a RS FR. Give the kid a chance. He prob won't lead us to a bowl game this year, but let's at least watch to see if he improves... although that would take a real OC.
