And don't use his nickname any longer. He doesn't deserve it.

He just played the entire Gamecock football family, players, coaches and fans. And, most of all, the donors.

It's now obvious that he could have been out there playing this season. He sat on his lazy butt and watched the team struggle, all the while he could have been a difference maker in a few games. And he did it all for money. YOUR money. The money people work hard for. He sat on his butt and did nothing, to the tune of a million bucks or more. Now he's taking his cash and leaving for another school.

Already seeing some on Twitter saying he'll always be a Gamecock. How stupid are some people???

Why would you wish good luck to someone who lied to you all season long, stole your money and is now leaving??? Have some dignity!

If this is a real post, it's pretty immature.

But you pumpers need to understand this is where we are. The big schools like Texas, USCw, aTm and Notre Dame will flourish. Schools like us will be feeders.

Why in the world would wish good luck to someone who lied to the team all season, contributed nothing to the season but took a full year of scholarship money, a million or so in NIL money and is now splitting town???? How would it be mature to wish him luck???

My immediate thought as well. Who was it here very recently (another team) who refused to play, opting to preserve his redshirt so he could transfer and play somewhere else?
We (fans) got punked.

Right. This isn't just some tough luck situation where he needed to transfer for playing time or some other thing.

Gamecock football treated him like royalty. He just took a big dump on all of it. And we're supposed to wish him well? Screw that.

Nothing immature about it. USC just got Albert Haynesworthed. It's one thing to take a job to build a resume. It's another thing to take a job to build a resume, then refuse to do that job and hope the next-level-up employers don't care. He could have hit the portal last year or just said midseason this year that he didn't want to suit up for USC again so you could have planned accordingly in your recruiting. It's scummy and I hope it does ding him with his potential next employer.

Bingo. If he had been played this year and decided to bolt for an NIL payday, that would have sucked. But he took money, then refused to do the job and is now leaving.

NIL is going to have to be tied to performance at some point. Maybe not in the sense of # of yards or TDs...but you have to play in X numbers of games or something like that.

Lloyd did the same thing last year. He thought he would win the national championship at USC west and we see how that worked out.

So you know for sure he’s leaving?

Well, if he's not, I will gladly eat crow along with 90% of the Gamecock fan base and 100% of the media.
You are probably right. It does make sense now that he chose not to play in a fourth game. I don’t think I realized it, I was just thinking a screw in the foot sounds painful, so why not heal properly and come back next year. I guess I just assumed it would be us.

Aside from the downright thievery of NIL money and a full scholarship.

You just had a coach who went out there week after week after week, and sometimes multiple times a week, and provided cover for you ALL season long. And this is how you repay him?

Wow I’m sure potential recruits will be impressed with you. I will wish him good luck. We don’t win some of the games we won - remember Clemson 2022 - without Juice. Oh and he didn’t have to come here to start with. I’m sorry but you don’t know what he’s thinking or how his foot feels - he did break a bone you know. Maybe he was waiting to see what Spencer was going to do. He didn’t have to come back this year either. I will thank him for his contributions to the program. Maybe you’re right about NIL stuff who knows. The current setup is fraught with potential abuses on both sides and changes need to be made. I hope this post is taken down - we really need to turn off recruits don’t we?

I get that, but it all flies out the window when fans are sending money directly to players. It's a ridiculous environment right now. I was once told not to eat out with my family one night a month after I told someone I'd never give to a collective. Imagine that...take an opportunity away from quality time with your family to give to a guy who was cleared to play, but sits so he can preserve his RS, then leave your ***. It's not about the money...it's about this exact situation.

Did you see Loggains' quote BEFORE the Clem game? I'm not sure how that one flew under the radar. But it aligns with all the leaks that were flowing that he would likely play against Clem. He was cleared. Had been cleared.

“You’ve got to make a decision about what’s best for you and hopefully it aligns with the team. And sometimes it doesn’t — and that’s unfortunate.”

Wells also reposted this less than 24 hours ago. Sometimes you earn all the smoke you get. What would I say to a recruit? Don't be a dick and you'll be fine...you know, like in real life.

When Beamer said prior to Kentucky game that Juice practiced and looked good but didn’t play, I knew the FIX was in.
Once the everyday Jimmy and Joes stop contributing to this $&@ show and stop going to games it will stop.

To tell what a dick move it is, even the Clemson friends I have are not doing victory laps but messaging to say what a dirty move it was.

Stop expecting loyalty, and ethical behavior from athletes and you’ll be just fine. It’s 2023 yo.
