He didn't launch himself, but he did lower the crown of his helmet.
But so did the offense player. If the defender lowers his head to go chest high and the offense player lowers his head afterwards how is it still a penalty? Just seems like it’s a bit one sided.

I really hate that rule. If it is dangerous for the defensive guy to lower his head, then it should be illegal for the offensive player.
Agree, who initiated the contact offense or defense. Receiver was driving forward with helmet down.

Ridiculous.

To be fair, burning the 3 TO's didn't help. I think we could have held them to 3 there if we had just 1 TO left.....but if's buts and coconuts...
