Garoppolo to Steelers? But why would SF trade him?

Saw that the Steelers was a team where Jimmy G would waive his no-trade clause for. I think he would be good for the Steelers but why the heck would SF trade him after the success of last season? Or is this just all the sports media bored out of their skulls and making shiite up?

Niners drafted Nance to be a starter....Jimmy G. due 25 million next year, that may be why SF is willing to dump him. For the record...I hope the Steelers pass on this guy.

Even Garoppolo knew the writing was on the wall when Trey Lance was drafted. He's been expecting to be traded ever since. Niners are way over the cap if they don't trade him. He's injury-prone and needs to be in a good system surrounded by talent to thrive ... but put him in that right situation and he can be a plus QB if he stays on the field.

Because he is no Aaron Rogers? The Niners aren't going to pay $25MM and also a first round draft pick, unlike the Packers who are paying Rogers $50MM and are also paying a first round draft pick.

I kind of think The Steelers should should go with what they got this year. Yuck I know but none of the Combine QB's do anything for me and there is only one FA QB I think I would give a shot to and thats Mariota and even that depends on the price.
Basically I don't think any of them are worth the money The Steelers will have to pony up for them, especially since they need help in others areas.

There's a bunch of high end guys getting released that could help the Steelers at key positions. I doubt they'd want to pay for them but they're out there.

But why would SF trade him?

Because he has a high school arm, is a poor decision maker, .......

Better question is why would the Steelers want him?
The other comments in this thread made me think there are a lot of people that really don't watch much football......

Jimmy G at $25 million seems like a steal compared to ARod at $50 million. CCG and a SB appearance is better than ARod playing great in the regular season and flaming out in the playoffs.

SF had 2 weapons. Kittle, definitely a top 5 TE. Deebo, who was their best WR and best RB all at once. NFL is a passing league. You have to have good to great secondary WRs and a stable of RBs who are versatile.

Steelers are running out of options.... their current QB room is very weak. Who is out there for them to grab?
