Slight highjack:

If trump was the Dem and Harris the red? Who do you vote for?
My vote depends on how the party in power’s governing relates to me personally.

I cast my vote by following the directive of the Great Communicator Ronald Wilson Reagan: Am I better off now than I was four years ago?

And my answer is Yes. Bidenomics has been good for me.

My income substantially increased and I have no credit card debt. I’ve often said that I’m very fortunate. I know that many friends have not had similar experiences.

I’m better off than I was in 2020 so of course I voted for Harris.

During the previous presidency, my income was stagnant and I had credit card debt. As 45, Trump wasn’t bad but he wasn’t good either.

Oh. If you’re wondering if I expected Harris to win…

Of course not, I am a Mississippi State fan after all.

I’ve learned to expect defeat.

One thing about this past election though:

Kamala Harris was the Mississippi State of the Democratic Party and she was facing the Mississippi State of the GOP in Donald Trump.

Policy over people....don't care about feels or cult of personality....definitely not an Orange Man bad fanboy but more of his policies align with me more than I think Kamala's do.....she really didn't reveal much so had to base on direction of her party which has been pulled too far to the left. It would be nice if both parties could move more towards the center.
After 2016, you saw Dems realize that they had gone full stupid liberal, and they reigned it in; some of "The Squad" is not even in office anymore, etc. However, they haven't done enough to focus on what matters to people, continue to get behind issues that are not nationally popular, and only have themselves to blame for handing the country Hillary and Joe, and then panic pick Kamala as answers.

I think that most of America is way more center than realized and if the parties would honor that and leave the lunatic fringe behind, then we would all have better choices. Understanding that we live in a pluralistic society where we need policies that represent compromise to best serve the overall population is a really pollyannish wish of mine.

Bill Ackman unloaded on the Democratic party last night on X. He used some language that makes me think he's going to lead or participate in some litigation related to how they handled Biden's mental health issues and the succession process that followed.
Sounds like a plan, I like it. The more infighting, name calling, finger pointing and disarray the better

OK. Then I'll point out that Kamala calling Trump, conceding and congratulating him, is more presidential acting than anything Trump has ever done. I hope that changes and he will at least pretend to be an adult going forward.
Yeah it's so Presidential to call anyone who isn't going to vote for you a deplorable or a Nazi or a fascist or garbage or racist or misogynistic.

Lets not go around and around with what candidates have said about people who support the other side.

There has not and never will be one damn thing "presidential" about Kamal Harris. Her own party told her that in 2019.

All the big screen tvs we've helped buy you and you are going to make us talk about Mississippi State Football after today? You're a 17ing monster. At least wait until we get a few basketball games in to generate some buzz.

I never mentioned Trump. I was just pointing out it is kinda rose colored glasses to say Kamala is some sort of presidential moral high ground candidate.

I can't take the hypothetical seriously because if republicans were going to nominate somebody that used sex to advance her career, they'd at least be politician hot.

I know you didnt mention Trump. I didnt either. <--see how worthless that comment is?
You responded to a post that mentioned Trump being childish/petty with a comment showing Harris was childish/petty.

So I replied with a request that we not go around and around with what candidates have said about opponent's supporters. I simply dont think there is any point to it and it also wont go well.
