Would we have liked to control efficiency and pace and won by 30 absolutely, that helps your advanced metrics in these type of games. However we won and come February all of that will work itself out with our conference schedule. Avoided a Q4 loss and move on to McNeese.

Could have been a lot worse. No Clary. No Cam for the most part. Keshawn sat most of the first half with 2 fouls. Everything they threw up in the first 10 minutes went in. Conversely, we seemed tired. Lots of jumpers left short. No easy baskets the first 30 minutes.

Nothing pretty about this one but we stayed calm, overcame adversity, and avoided the upset.

We might have had a let down but we struggle to stop the dribble drive. This isn’t the 1st game that has happened.

Why did we schedule this game, especially on a Sunday? There is no upside for us. As bad as that loss was to Southern last year, they were in the high 200’s in NET, PV is in the low 300’s, literally one of the worst teams in college basketball. If we lost it could have easily kept us out of the tournament. And on the flip side if we win by 30 that does nothing, in fact we dropped in the NET even though we won. And to schedule it on a Sunday when the players clearly don’t want to be there is absolutely criminal.

We're down to #20 in the NET rankings. Not a big deal this time of year with all the bi-directional movement.
