Good thread on 247...what do you do if someone doesn't "Respect the Bell"....
do you speak up or just let it go? Discuss.

Screw you man.People like you are ruining our tradition. The reason you need to obey the rules is because it's illegal. Not only that, but when the fans stop ringing, they yell louder. Our stadium is louder since we got the new cowbell rule. It makes our fans focus oncheering instead of just ringing a bell. If you decide to be a douche-bag jackass and defy the rules, the bells will get banned again. If the bells get banned again, there will be a punishment for ringing them atSEC games. It also costs our program money. We have the smallest budget in the conference.Do you really wanna pay 50 k a pop for not obeying the rules the rest of the year. Add that up. Do you want your athletic department paying that much moneybecause you act like a little kid? We're already gonna get fined for the LSU game. Let's stop right there. It blows my mindthat peoplecan't obey sucha simple 17in rule. Don't get me wrong, Inever missed an opportunity to sneak my bell in when they were illegal, but things change just like our athletic department, fans, and expectations change. Gotta change with the times. If we didn't, we would still be stuck inTempleton-like conditions. Get your head outta your ***, home boy.PosterFormerlyKnownAsRFAA said:What happened to the belief that the rule was wrong and targeted just MSU?
How many of you had hissy-fits when the bells were ringing back when they were banned all together? "Oh my word, those things aren't allowed! When will these ruffians learn! Rules are made to be followed!"
There used to be discussions of how to properly sneak in your cowbell! Now its, "Sir, please refrain from ringing your artificial noisemaker. It is against the conference rules. Thank you for understanding!"
And now somebody is complaining about a fan ringing two bells?
What the hell has happened to the defiant MSU fan base that rang bells for all those years REGARDLESS of policy?
They gave an inch and, instead of taking or demanding a mile, the fan base has bent over and taken that inch with a smile!
What a damn joke.
