Again about as good as we can ask for.

someone please tell our “team leader” and “dirt bag” catcher that can’t hit a fat man’s weight… to catch the ball and throw back to the pitcher for the rest of the season and try to stay in his lane a little bit

What would be fair is the SEC sit the GA coaching staff down and make them name guys in on the film that left the dugout and eject them this game. If they refused eject every coach on the team.

Another thing is the momentum we had after that out at the plate was completely thrown away. Georgia got the momentum after a ridiculous delay with our roster gutted. What might have happened with momentum going into the bottom of 8th cause we damn sure had it?

Lost in all of this is what a great play that was to shut down the inning. Game was pretty good too up to that point.

Are we all going to ignore the fact that the UGA base runner led with his elbow into Long’s ankle? You think Long walked over him like that for no reason?
Oh, don’t say that! Apparently everyone (especially one) wants to be an ostrich about that part.
no one cares to ask themselves why Long seemed so mad after the tag. The obvious answer is concluded after watching the replay of Carters elbow aimed at Longs leg. But let’s keep that hush-hush so we don’t disturb the blind on here.

Don’t be an idiot. What’s the runner supposed to do? Walk to the dugout & concede the out? If baseball doesn’t want the runner to do exactly what he did, they should change the rule to not require a tag for an out at home plate. Of course the runner tried to score. That’s his only choice.

I'd be happy if the SEC just said "Sorry about that. We made a truly stupid decision made even worse after wasting so much of your time and it won't happen again." Not holding my breath

Most runners will extend their hand to reach the plate faster when trying to score. The UGA runner cocked his elbow and led with it into Long’s ankle. He knew he was cooked and tried to take Long out.

I’m the idiot? You’re the one saying “that’s baseball“ about a dirty play. You’re the one saying a runner can tackle a catcher. But don’t let me point out the obvious facts. Long shouldn’t have done what he did, but he was obviously pissed about getting needlessly attack w an elbow to the leg. I’m not quite sure how this is hard to understand but keep your head in the sand.
