NOTHING is as bad as Todd Ellis ("...the 40, 45, 50, 55 yard line!") and rube Tommy Suggs.
Agree, they're awful, but they do work for the Gamecock Radio Network. ESPN should do better. Much better.

Btw, I'm totally fine with Herbstreit calling Ohio State games because he has proven his professionalism repeatedly over many years. Philpott is a third rate jack off.

It is weird to me that with only two ranked matchups, they are going to the B team crew. But still, I’ll take noon for an away game any day. I don’t want a night game on the road. We talk about how a night game at Willy B is an advantage, so I don’t want to give the Tiggers the same advantage.

This whole thing, the timing and the non-premier broadcast team, is ESPN's revenge on UPC for not taking the Black Friday slot. We are being punished. I don't blame UPC, but this is retribution. Mark-it.

No doubt. If Dabo the Clown hadn't decided to be a whiny baby about playing on Friday the game would have likely been the 3:30 game on ABC. A 3:30 game on Friday would have been much better for the merchants and restaurants and bars in Clemson and much better for all the fans from a tailgate perspective and getting in and out of that hell hole town than a noon kickoff on Saturday. UGA/GT is the 7:30 game Friday and ABC could have billed the day as an "SEC vs ACC Rivalry" package.

For what it's worth; I would feel exactly the same way if Beamer had done what Dabo did.

This is more like the C team.

I'm definitely not complaining about the kick time.

A lot of people throwing shade at Dabo for not wanting Black Friday. I’m glad the game is on Saturday (when college football games should be). Tiny detail that doesn’t effect the team but is a part of gameday is that USC’s band is in the Macy’s Day parade on Thursday. Playing the game on Saturday saves USC money for not having to get the band back from New York and to the clemson game so quickly. That would be pretty tight travel if they had to get back to a game on Friday.

This is definitely the JV broadcast team. Fortunately, it will have no effect on the game.

As I've said before, I'm glad the game is on Saturday - when all big college football games are played. I'm not sure why so many of y'all want our rivalry game moved to the day of the week when high school games are played.

Right, it's kinda bizarre.

I wouldn't mind a Black Friday game if there were a clear advantage for Carolina, but I'm not seeing what that advantage would be.

I'm content with the Saturday nooner slot. I don't care about pushing a Black Friday game or what time it's played.

Are you familiar with "Big Thursday" as it relates to Carolina football?

The thing that the people clinging onto the Saturday game concept miss is the sport is bigger than just us and Clemson. On Saturday, our game gets lost in the hoopla of Ohio State v. Michigan and the Iron Bowl. ESPN was trying to separate our game so that it would get more eyeballs. Now, we have to compete against the Ohio State v. Michigan game on Fox. How you think that is going to work out for ESPN. Not good.

In the upstate, the clemson station is the only sports talk around. Philpot use to have a daily show. So over the years Ive watched (listened)his career take off. Yes he is a homer, but when he does work for ESPN he puts it aside. Imo he is very professional, knowledgeable, and is easy to listen to. To me, it seems that he goes out of his way to not sound like a homer. I respect him for his effort and applaud him for his professional growth.

They went cheap. They don’t have to provide any travel expenses for Roy. He is right at home.
