I didn’t think those were egregious enough, but I hadn’t considered the final point. That probably sealed the deal.
I didn't think they would fire him, but I have been hoping for a change for a while. His roster mismanagement (minutes allocations, never playing same 5 twice, etc.) has made cohesiveness tough - even beyond injuries, refusal to challenge game changing calls for years now (and then not using them at all), inability to adapt in-game, and lack of feel for the game overall (not stopping runs until they become a 15-point swing) were my primary frustrations.
I think there are other issues with the organization including their overreliance on analytics and inability to put staff in place to condition players against injury, but that is not the head coach's fault.

I was shocked they did it now but it’s not surprising. They are getting smashed by any team that’s even halfway decent and since the all star break they have been terrible. Their record so far is a bit of smoke and mirrors because it was front loaded with a lot of bad teams.
MTNDawg laid out alot of the other issues. His substitution patterns are pretty baffling in just about every game. I think he over analyzes everything to the point that he made bad decisions just because “data” said otherwise.

I think he lost the locker room and he was going to get canned after this year anyhow barring a solid playoff run. Grizz weren't trending that way so they pulled the trigger. Still surprising though. Maybe it'll light a fire and they'll rally around whoever is named interim?
Iisalo is the interim. He’s the offensive guru they brought over from Europe. Don’t know if that will help much but maybe he will be better about the rotations.
They’re 11-20 against teams over .500. They haven’t beaten an above .500 team since February 3rd and that was against the Mavericks who had 8 players out with injury.
The body language of this team has been terrible for a couple months now, and I don’t know that Jenkins is to blame for that, but they were going nowhere fast and something needed to change.
