Grrrr. Comcast booted WPSU from my channel lineup.

WPSU is one of the reasons I switched from FIOS. I live in the east suburbs of Pittsburgh and found WPSU programming superior to WQED.

Are you sure they actually got rid of it entirely? We have a Tivo and channels appear in the guide but they cannot be tuned by the Tivo. That's because the channels were moved to "virtual" or essentially the equivalent of an internet stream. I believe the rented Xfinity/Comcast equipment can display these channels because they integrate a virtual tuner. If you are like us and don't have a rental but instead a Tivo, you can search on the "watch TV" option on the Xfinity webpage for the channel and watch it that way. Here is the WPSU coverage map:

https://wpsu.psu.edu/about/coverage-area/

I don't know whether you are close enough to the transmission area to give a big outdoor antenna a try. Failing that, I'd try the webpage under the live tv option:

https://live.wpsu.org/

I'm outside the coverage area so I can't access it, but you might be able to.

Never mind. They just changed a lot of channel assignments, but the original WPSU channel reads,: "This channel is no longer available from Xfinity in your area."

Poor communication skills.
