For me, it's festivus threads without the prerequisite gathering of your online family around, when you tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year. You all disappoint me with this, especially those of you that use tinsel (I find that distracting). Now, let's wrestle!
You misspelled Eduardo when you signed up. Hmmmm

Were we all stopped at a red light? If so, I’m that person letting you in. Why? Because I’ve been the person trying to get out of that business on a busy road with zero hope of getting out due to the crowd.

If you want troublemaker, it’s the person getting out of said business who then tries to cross more than one lane. That’s hazard territory.

I say don't patronize that business if it is going to be so hard to exit the parking lot.

When driving on the highway in the right hand lane and people who are entering the highway expect you to yield to them.

Little late but WTF is up with saying the city/state of the college you go/went to instead of the school name? I notice this a lot with interns who go to top schools/programs. It’s so pretentious and annoying - a recent intern of mine would always say ‘Boston’ when asked instead of Tufts. This is very common with younger Ivy-leaguers I meet too….

Funny. I've got a buddy named Bradd that I always used to say, hey you misspelled your named. I do have to say that it almost sounds like you don't believe that my given name is Edwardo Carrachio? I'm disappointed in you. Where's the Festivus magic? No soup for you! LOL

My son is up in NE now . His experience is if they answer Boston, it means Harvard . Otherwise they typically call out the school .

and standing and watching their groceries being packed and when presented with the amount.....to THEN begin looking thru their purse.....the size of a backpack, to find their checkbook. Also, striking up a conversation about the weather or their grandchildren and distracting the person checking them out and putting the whole process on hold. Don't they have anyone who speaks to them at home.....is this the only time they get to speak to humans? Let's not forget disputing the price of an item and forcing the checkout clerk to call a manager for a price check and if proven saving 5 cents. Should I mention the person with 25 coupons?
Two words: self checkout.

I mean, I’ve also heard the very general ‘up north’. Worse, with my last intern, when pressed they would say, ‘The Fletcher School.’

When I drink beer, I drink local breweries which can go $7-$8 bucks a pint. Too often the bartender doesn’t care enough to pour a decent head, makes me want to cry. (This is NOT a problem in Ireland, for example.)
And while we’re on the topic, when I drink beer I drink all of it since somebody spent a lot of time and effort brewing it. It’s only right.

Well the first grievance I'll air is that Festivus is limited to a single day.

With that out of the way, our new offensive coordinator has a habit of ending sentences with "...right?" (even more so than CJF starting them with "Obviously...")

Next up... people who park AT the gas pump and then go into the station to do whatever rather than gas up, move and park like a considerate human being. (If you do it at the one pump that offers diesel there's a special place in hell for you)

Spending Christmas Eve in Children’s Hospital since my newborn had a low core body temp. But he’s doing much better now and so they are now moving him out of the ICU to a regular room. That room just happens to be room number 409. Just thought I’d share that.

Merry Christmas everyone.

And what's the story with my Dunkin Donuts drive-thru? Is it too much trouble to put napkins in the bag with my donuts? No tip in the cup until they learn proper drive-thru serving procedures.

People who have their cell phone speaker on in public places when they are in conversation - grocery store, the train, restaurants, stores, the airport, the shuttle to the airport....the list goes on and on. Oh, and don't "festivus me" if I start honing in on your conversation - if you are stupid enough to allow everyone to hear your private convesation, then you have to accept that people will decide to chime into your discussion.
