Streetcore is a great album. I just discovered it a couple of years ago after hearing Get Down Moses on Springsteen’s radio show. Not sure how I missed it for so long. Anyway, I believe this version of Redemption Song was actually done as a duet with Johnny Cash when they were both recording at the same studio. I guess they just cut out Cash’s part for the album? Or I might have the story wrong. Here is that version, which is somehow even better to me.
