My college daughters are home for Thanksgiving. Last night was filled with baking, prepping, raking (to escape the noise and appear productive) and too much sampling of what was pre-made for today’s dinner. It’s a great feeling to have the whole family back under the same roof. Today started with a walk with my wife, making goetta sliders for my girls for breakfast, and currently riding the exercise bike. Rest of the day will include cooking/slicing that bird up and grilling a tray of Mac and cheese on the grill (again, productive noise escape) while drinking Guinness. I’m just hoping the feast doesn’t end up like this:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! TG is a bit of a challenge at my house. My wife is a vegetarian. I'm a carno-vegetarian, I only eat animals that eat vegetables. I still manage to roast a turkey breast (am I in the wrong thread). We do sweet potatoes, stuffing, corn, dinner rolls, and apple pie. Football and stout on the menu as well. Need to leave for my daily 5 mile walk before the feast. Have a great day! We are...!

Serious question - what animals eat meat that you don’t eat (that are common)?

Happy Thanksgiving to all who grace this board with their knowledge and wit.

Daily, I venture onto this site. Rarely I am disappointed.

My son-in-law wanted to smoke a turkey this year so I will be leaving shortly with my contributions to the feast. Can't wait.

I have not spent much time on this board lately as I try to rekindle the dying dreams of my youth, but I would be remiss if I did not take a moment to give thanks for all those here who have made my life better through years. I won't list names for fear of forgetting someone but I will simply say that my many hours here have been time well spent. Happy Thanksgiving to all and may God bless us, every one.
