Has a future first-round NFL QB draft pick ever lost to Vanderbilt?

Fair enough, maybe Levis gets us over the hump against OSU and UM maybe not, we know SC could not, guess we will never know. The obvious answer though is Levis has NFL potential SC obviously does not. To me JF and crew missed, it happens, not worried about it now, finish the season strong and get ready for Allar time.
Except that Clifford beat UM twice you mean?

I think everyone would agree that just by the measurable‘s Levis is the person that everybody would pick. He’s bigger stronger probably faster and definitely has a stronger arm. Neither one of them offer much in the intangible department and pocket awareness doesn’t seem to be a gift that either of them have.
Neither one would be able to go to a bad team and make them better. But levis probably could go to a team with an established quarterback and sit behind him for a couple years and become an average NFL starter. I don’t think Clifford could be that guy but could be the guy that is the emergency 3rd quarterback for a team.

Agreed.....what a college QB is and a pro quality can be different. Kentucky's offense is dead last in the SEC in yards per game.
Levis would be a better H back somewhere.

Not specific to Levis or Clifford, but I hate when an analyst/announcer talks about a player having "all the tools" when they really mean that he has all the physical attributes. Most of the time, when it's said that a QB "can make all the throws" it means they have the arm strength to put the ball anywhere on the field. It doesn't address questions accuracy, understanding defenses, being able to operate an offense, etc. The list of guys who had size, mobility, and arm strength, but just couldn't acquire enough of the other necessary skills to play the position in the NFL isn't short.
