Has anyone ever went to an away game by themselves? Is that just sad?

You speak as though keeping it real isn’t super important

I've gotten in tons of trouble for fighting when I was younger. It's not worth it. If it makes you feel better I do have bloody ultra-violent revenge fantasies about people who have wronged me. I always say "that mfr is lucky I don't have lung cancer...yet"

But in the end I decry violence of all kinds and wish we could evolve away from being stupid, jealous, murderous apes.

I see Greg understands I’m just f ing about.

Obviously you were kidding.

But a couple stories. I had a friend, who was at a concert with a group of people. His friend threw a punch, that guy fell back and hit his head on a curb and died. His friend went to jail.

I had some West Ham friends who, when we passed by an Arsenal bar, pulled down the flag in front of the bar. Next thing I know the bouncers are out with knives. I had to simultaneously talk the bouncers back into the bar while holding my drunk friends back. Those moments can change someone’s life on a dime.

so I just be as polite as possible and keep walking. I’m a grown *** man with a kid. I will never understand NFL fans fighting in the stands.

but yeah, I realized you were just messing around

Wives who hate football.....I'm having trouble with this concept. I've come home to her having bought football tickets more often than she's come home to me having bought football tickets.
Turn in your man card.

Thing is, the fights in the stands are generally broken up quickly unlike the concourse or parking lots.

Getting rid of religion would be a good start…(RIP Mackdaddy…).

I went to the Big House a few years ago. Everything was great.....until the game started. I went to the Penn State Alumni pep rally at a nearby bowling alley (sounds corny but it was great). Interacted with lots of Penn State fans the night before at the hotel and before the game. It felt weird being by myself but I didn't have to please anyone so it worked out good. This was the game they stomped us 42-7 with the only score being a Tommy Stevens TD to break up the shutout. It was a long drive home.

I snared a woman who loves football as much as me. I'd say that qualifies me for the gold man card.
A few things I never understood. For example “my wife loves to golf with me” or “my wife loves to race the car with me”
some things are best when she doesn’t like it.
things we enjoy together that I think are good: boating, archery, shooting, Phillies, traveling, yard work
im coming at this as an expert (married at 23, 36 next spring)

I noticed you did not mention sex, until I realised you were married for 36 years ;)

Not sad at all. I prefer going alone and I prefer going on vacation alone. My friends and I have different interests and usually I have a better time with strangers

I am really contemplating flying into for the game on Saturday. If i book my flights out today, I can do it for about $900 and hotels, since it is a city, are not bad.
My daughters 4th birthday party is on Sunday, and my wife hates football, so she doesn't want to go. (ill be home on saturday night at 11)

I would just walk to the game by myself. Where is the Penn State section in Ohio Stadium?
I did that once, at the Shoe. Someone threw a forty-bottle at me. Otherwise I had a good time.
