Has anyone in college football blown up like Legette this year?

Last year he was 639th in receptions and 730th in receiving yards. This year he is 29th and 7th, respectively.

Granted, he's been basically our only WR threat and so has been far and away Rattler's #1 target (we don't even have a #2 target). However, opposing teams have known for quite some time that he is only real WR threat, yet he continues to make catches.

He was a total afterthought for us last year and now PFF has him as a potential first rounder. DraftBuzz has him as the #3 WR in the class. Ironically, were it not for Juice's injury, it's unlikely he'd have blown up like he has this year.

Jonathon Brooks, Texas, Running back, 197 yards, last year, 2 catches 1,139 yards this year and 25 catches, and 10 Tds

Luther Burden Missouri WR, had 397 yards receiving last year and 1,142 yards this year, but he was a highly regarded prospect

Are a couple that come to mind from a improved stats context

Yeah, Burden is just a sophomore. He went from 45 catches to 77 this year. Brooks is a redshirt sophomore. Leggette has basically been a non-factor for the previous 4 years and has exploded this year.

I guess I'm thinking of someone who has basically been non-existent for 4 years broke though as one of the best at his position in Year 5.

XL is a man on a mission. Based on reports of off season and spring training sessions, XL was focused on helping this team and himself with relentless conditioning and skills training. Based on what I'm seeing in scouting reports, they are impressed with his size, strength and speed on the scale of Alshon and I believe he will be impressive in any workouts offered, if needed. Personally. I've been impressed with his routes and ability to get separation in addition to the above attributes.

Being the only WR ever thrown to tends to help your numbers. He is lucky as a dog with 2 dicks that Juice got hurt.

Fay-roh Cooper. Went from something like 50 yards to 1,200 yards and 9 TDs.

Wow. Way to disparage a guy who has worked incredibly hard and played his arse off to get where he is, while at the same time playing through injuries. Stupid post.
