Has anyone seen The Banshees of Inisherin?

(I searched for a "movie review" thread but could not find one)

It is not really a comedy, dark comedy maybe, but extremely thought provoking and a bit shocking. I have been replaying scenes in my head over and over. I eventually figured out it was really an allegory of the Irish Civil War. The acting was ridiculously good, Colin Farrell should get Oscar nomination. Highly recommend it, but don't expect a lot of laughing.

I posted about it in the new film trailers thread last week. In agreement with you but there were some really hysterical moments in the film especially with the character of Dominic. Oscar worthy film and performances.

Just to clarify:

the New Movie Trailers thread that @rudedude linked is supposed to be for discussions about trailers that are released before a movie is released.

The movie thread, where folks can post questions about current movies, or movie reviews, is:

I'm hesitant to do that.

The best approach seems to be to remember keywords, and just do a search on them. So if you do a search (in this forum) for all posts that have Movie in the title, it's not too difficult to find the appropriate thread.

It's a sort of sequel to 'In Bruges' right? Definitely looking forward to checking this out.

Just saw it last week. I thought it was of course very well done and surprisingly funny. Can't recommend the McDonaghs enough - Calvary by John Michael McDonagh is one of my favorites and you'll recognize many of the actors from this movie. The Guard, In Bruges, War on Everyone are all fantastic. It's a shame they don't make more movies.

Also the offbeat Seven Psychopaths with Colin Farrell, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson.

Ok sure. Hesitant because it takes time away from posting pics in the Weather Report thread, eh? ;):ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
