I can't remember another moment in NFL history.

It's a considerable testimony to the evaluation and development of talent at Alabama.

The Transfer Portal and NIL have probably ended any chance of it happening again.

And their receiver room also had four first round picks at the same time. Smith, Jeudy, Waddle, and Ruggs (who is now behind bars but still a first round pick).

ETA: oh and also Najee Harris, Josh Jacobs, and Damien Harris is the backfield.

Maybe Carson Palmer, Matt Leinart, Mark Sanchez from USC? Or Miami with Testaverde, Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar?

You mean same roster - like literally the 2019 and 2018 Bama teams? I’ve got to imagine this is a first. Palmer was a few years ahead of Sanchez enrolling at usc

Joe Namath, Ken Stabler, and Bart Starr were all starters in 70 and 71. Bart Starr was replaced by Scott Hunter in 72, but he wasn't a starter for very long.

When Namath left the Jets for the Rams, he was replaced by Richard Todd, so once again you had 3 Alabama QBs.

In the 80s, u of miami had 4 first round picks in Jim Kelly, Bernie Kosar, Vinny Testaverde, and Steve Walsh. All 4 started for their NFL teams. One is a hall of famer.

When Kyler Murray is healthy Oklahoma will have 3 starters as well. Nearly half the NFL Starting QBs played at Clemson, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Ohio State since 2016.

Seems like one could theorize that having an NFL caliber QB is a big key to making some noise in the College Football Playoff.... *checks notes on 2014 Mississippi State season.* Maybe add in a few NFL caliber receivers too to cement the theory.
