If there are no last-minute snags, Jimmy boy to the Colts.
If not looks like ten game suspension on his part.

Jim will probably take the 1st NFL offer he gets. I think he's cognizant of his coaching mortality (he turns 60 in December) and knows this might be his last shot to scratch that NFL itch. If he signs a new deal with Michigan its going to have a large buyout and while that isn't necessarily a problem for NFL teams, it would be kind of another strike against him in a league that seems to be lukewarm on him to start with. If he leaves the new coach will most likely be Sharrone Moore or Mike Hart

I’m of the mind that Harbaugh will go back to the NFL this year. This scenario makes the most sense. I thought this before being reminded that he was 60.

I thought the same thing but he must be toxic AF given the people hired for jobs over him. No secret he’s interviewing a bunch - but, given his impressive track record, it’s a shock no one has made him their coach.

His last two years have been impressive. “He must be toxic af,” I can agree with you here but this begs the question, how is he toxic? Maybe it’s residual from his time as a NFL coach. I have a hard time seeing any toxicity from his stint at Michigan.

Stuff with the 49ers I think. Just not well liked by NFL owners it seems.

A few years ago I was in the grocery store waiting in line. It was a Sunday during college football season with the Michigan game a week or two away. The guy in line in front of me started telling me he was a Michigan fan and how much he loved his coach. (I was wearing a PSU t-shirt.) I told him that I loved his coach too and hoped that he stays at Michigan forever since he is terrible and they will never win anything with him as the head coach. Without admitting that I think he is a good coach, I now hope that he goes back to the NFL and Michigan struggles for years trying to find a decent replacement!

Praying he goes to the Dolts. The majority of fans in Denver surely don’t want him. I would like to see Sean Payton as Broncos next coach.

Harbaugh and Irsay deserve each other. No way in hell does Sean Payton go to the Broncos. That is a train wreck that just overpaid (and gave up draft picks) for a QB that’s way past his prime. By the end of the season they were fighting amongst themselves. Sean Payton is in the driver’s seat. He can be very picky with his choice.

I get the humor, but they were very successful in his 4 years there and they moved on. That tells me he was pretty difficult to deal with as has been reported. If I remember correctly, didn’t they fire him on the field after the last game of his 4th season there? That’s pretty telling and doesn’t scream a lot of respect from the organization for him.

You had me up until the 10 game suspension part. That isn’t happening, but even if it were, is months away from being decided. He may very well go to the NFL, but not buying this source.

The 49ers tried to trade Harbaugh to Tampa Bay. How hated can you be if your org is actively trying to put a coach into a player trade?

That does seem extreme. I assume the OP meant that the suspension would come from UM, not the NCAA.
