They love their beer over there but I always saw Budweiser available in their bars. I've always wondered if it were for tourists or if the locals like Budweiser too. Jack Daniels was always front and center as well from what I recall.

Can I ask a question? On that Dutch goal, why would one of the best international players in the world be streaking into the center of the box completely uncovered? I’m not sure he could’ve been any more wide open?

defensive breakdown?

Sorry, another question. Why won’t we shoot the 17ing ball? We keep tapping it around into all kinds of traffic and turning it over every time we’re close to the goal.

I’d rather take a shot and hope for a lucky deflection than the tentative crap we’re doing

The US team is like watching the Air Raid. Lots of touches around the midfield and not much offensive talent around the goal

Lazy defender dragging about 5 yards behind.

Wow. What a choke.

Been funny listening to Dempsey talking about how the US is “dominating” and now down 2-0

I guess you completely missed our red zone production stats this year??

Anything to **** on this football team for some of you. Get out in the sun more. It's good for your attitude.

Well, I was rough on US soccer after Wales, and they've got a long way to go.

But I get why some of y'all are excited. Lot of talent and youth. I'm on board for the next 4 years.

Well, the first 8 minutes were pretty good. Difference in these teams is Netherlands is dangerous when they get the ball in the final 1/3. We’re just not. Jesus Feriera had no business playing in the World Cup.

I could tell this game was over when the Netherland’s coach shows up in a suit and ours is dressed for a Saturday morning donut run.

Probably a little since they are up 2-0, but it's really playing for the counterattack it looks to me.
Yeah. They’ve been doing that the whole game really. They feel confident they won’t concede a goal if they stay organized defensively.

And they got disorganized. I'm not sure the US guy knew anything about it but it went in!

U.S. backs are absolute garbage. They are rigid, tentative, and don't team/communicate with each very well. I'm surprised the score isn't 5-1 by now.

Because he is a really good player surrounded by players just as good on his team. Thats how it works. They are better than us at every position.

Regardless of what the time of possession or shots on goal stats end up showing, the Dutch are putting on a clinic. Any time we get close to attacking the box, it seems like there's not much of a plan and most of the time we either blindly pass it to no one or else tap it around in traffic until we eventually turn it over.

On the 4-5 scoring opportunities that Netherlands has had, someone manages to completely lose our defense for a wide open shot. I don't get much about soccer, but even I can see that their footwork, spacing, and vision is 10x better than ours

The Dutch are a disciplined team with skilled players
That is exactly what they are. I think that has a little bit to do with why they have never won the World Cup. More often than not the later round games between equal teams in a tournament come down to one moment of sheer individual brilliance or one small, fatal mistake. The Dutch game is made to lose like that.
