The actual games are fun to watch. Begins and ends there.
Exactly.... forget what you used to think what college football was/is. What we have now is University/College Sponsored semi pro ball. Its the NFL's minor league that they don't have to pay for. The schools just lend their names to these teams. Real college football is played in DIV 3.
College football is the de facto minor league for the NFL. As far as good things go, that’s about it.

CFB and CBB always have been sort of the elephant in the room. In a fundamental sense, what U Chicago did in 1939, cancelled football, is the only rational choice.
I don’t know what point this makes but I had a class with Jim Cefalo where the professor would get on his *** every postgame Monday. That really pissed me off. Instead of allowing Cefalo to simply be a student in his class, the professor made it all about the privileged football player. Dick move. Well, carry on.

It's really simple. Just stop watching if you don't like it.

Enjoy what there is to enjoy. The cheese has moved. The narrative has definitely changed. There will be more solid in season matchups because the Networks need it as much as the programs need the Money the networks provide.
College football has always been the development league for the NFL. Now it’s just more of a stated reality.
