I believe I met him in Greenville when we had a rivals meeting there. Freddie, can you confirm this?

It sounds like he had wide interests and never stopped trying new endeavors. Rest in peace, and prayers for his family.

Thank you for sharing, Poultry ... I used to live in Greenville, SC, and showed up at a rather informal gathering at some eating place one day ... not sure I met him but I do recall his posts and am sad to see he has passed ... my condolences to his family and may we all seek out Him ....

Thanks for sharing! I never met Coup, only knew of him from the boards. Somehow, I imagined that he passed away young-ish. But wow. He was 95. That means he was about 70 when he started a website that took off and is still going. I know we have a bunch of tech savvy 70yo posters on here now. But we have lived with “pocket computer” phones for 15 years now. I think it’s pretty amazing what he accomplished. And every sentence in his obituary pointed to another story in another chapter of life. Such an interesting man.

Yes, he was at a Rivals luncheon we had in Greenville a number of years ago. That is one of my claims to fame was getting to met Coupe. Others at that meeting was yourself COE, Blackflag, Rooster Louie and a number of others which I can't recall at this time.

The husband/wife team that owned a bar, (I believe) in Taylors that was geared all things Gamecocks. Who was the person who took photos and shared them on the old rivals board? Was that Coupe? I would love to get a hold of those photos.

I was thinking Coupe took these pictures but I can't recall. I remember someone posted a few of those on FGF. When I think about it now it's been quite a few years back. I know I was still working at the time and I've now been retired 9 1/2 years.
