I didn't see it mentioned earlier, so here goes......per Mr Murray:

It looks like Anthony Johnson, Rodney Prince, and Jamon Hughes have the possibility of playing in 2009 for us.

All have been or will be re-admitted to MSU and to the team and will sit out this year. AJ & Prince will be on scholly this year and will have to sit out the season(AJ will redshirt...Prince loses a year).

Hughes will have to go the walk-on route to make the team, and pay his own way for a year, then be available to be put on scholly next year. He will also have to make all classes, study halls, etc. plus stay completely out of trouble to get to that point. Any bumps in the road between now & then and he'll be gone.

That sounds great to me! I think that's justifiable considering the whole situation as well.

However, just for clarification... I thought Jamon was going to Memphis... Or am I mixing him in with somebody else

......for the '09 team. In some weird way it's not a bad thing this happened, that is as long as the '08 team can manage without them. You especially have to like the prospect of getting AJ back.

And to anybody who screams about us letting a bunch of criminals back on the team, I say 17 you. They've paid a high price for what they did by being forced to sit out a year. If they can stay clean between now and then, I have no problem with letting them back on the team (and I've have no problem with any of our rivals letting them back on if they had the same situation).

You know it's coming. I can hear it now: "Ol $aint Croom$ is at it again at Moo$ux" However, you really have to just shrug it off and be happy about the fact that people are beginning to see him as a threat.

will miss a season. That sounds like a reasonable amount of punishment to me. As far as UM goes, all 20+ players were allowed to play in the Egg Bowl after the story broke about them stealing ipod docking stations/clocks and pillows on two separate occasions. They have no room to talk.

figure something out for what I think was the biggest loss of all.

We needed Mike Brown this year. Damnit.
