Maine just stole a spot. Stony Brook is a lock, so Champion Maine gives that league 2.
Richmond has advanced to play Charlotte in the A-10, but I think that league was projected to get 2, just not the possibility of a 29-26 Richmond.
Their could be a Big 12 upset if Missouri gets through that one.

In <font color="#0645ad">2008</font>, the SEC adopted a "flipped bracket" on a trial basis. The tournament still consists of 8 teams in a double elimination bracket, however, after two days of play the undefeated team from each bracket will move into the other bracket. This reduces the amount of rematches teams will have to play in order to win the tournament.

what will happen is in league's like that- the team that wins the tournament will take the team that had the better season's spot. So, a lot of those upsets won't really affect us too much.
In a league like C-USA it could, a little bit. More than likely it will affect a team like Ole Miss than us.

...in that a lot of people got tired of the 4 team brackets and never-ending rematches. Absolutely. Message boards, people at the games in Hoover. I never found people that disliked it when it was being discussed. Hell, it's better for those of sitting our butts at home b/c our team couldn't get there... more interesting seeing different matchups than the same ones I watched on day 1 or day 2 of the tournament. In a traditional 8 team double elimination it would happen similarly. I still don't like the CWS format with 2 separate 4 team tournaments going on at the same time. The old 8 team true double elims were more fun to watch to me.
It also allows for the theory that if the 2 best teams are in the same bracket, the loser's bracket team can still fight their way to the finals to still get the 2 best teams playing. With the still idiotic 1/2 seeding of division winners for the SEC it's very possible to get the best 2 in the same bracket. Playing all but one team in the league during the year for an almost balance schedule there's zero reasons to not just seed 1-8. Of course, it's still just not a real big deal since the SECT has much less meaning than most of the other conference tournaments do for the top teams in the league since they all pretty much know they're hosting anyway...but at least in theory it makes sense.
