WTF.shame on this kid and his support structure.
Didn’t they take a portal QB after he had committed? Who knows what he was told before committing? If it was that he would not be competing against a portal QB, I don’t blame him.

Good chance he’ll be a malcontent and distraction for everyone else on the team.

There's two (at least!) sides to every story - it will be interesting to see what is beneath this story from both sides, which has no real depth to it so far aside from a very shallow 'they didn't prioritize me'. From just that little blurb, this looks bad on the kid, imo.

"I just felt that I wasn't a main priority [at Oregon]," Sagapolutele told ESPN. "Of course there's going to be competition anywhere I go. But I'm just looking at other QB rooms and the best place for me to go get on the field early."

It sounds like his definition of being the "main priority" was a guarantee of being QB1. He mustn't have gotten that.

Makes me think that maybe they had told him he’s have a better chance at getting that he would have had in reality. Coaches have been lying to kids for years to get them to commit. I appreciate that the kids now have an out for coaching dishonesty.

What changed in one month? Did they sign another QB?
