It’s literally what you said… take money from the hospital to buy recruits lol. It’s the only way Miami can get an elite kid to play in an empty off campus stadium.

Well the school can use the profits from the hospital however they want. It’s their hospital. Not sure if they’re really taking money from sick kids.
And the stadium thing is kind of a joke. It’s a tiny university. Most of the students there could care less about football. And the Miami dolphins play in that stadium. A stadium, which is not in Miami. Because it’s much nicer to have a stadium and exit off the turnpike instead of spending an extra 50 or so minutes driving down into the heart Miami. Just makes more sense having the stadium up there.
But you are right that stadium is empty most of the time.
