Lol what are you talking about? I’m the one who has said we barely are d1 athletics department

THEY DONT CARE lol we aren’t broke at all

Also most of the be is pretty below average in sports (even though we are so bad) so idk if that much investment makes sense
whats that investment. How much are those lower tier sports coaches gettng paid. $100k-$150k. Double or Triple those numbers and get someone good who can win. And $150.000 per year for about 5 sports is $750,000 to increase our performance and maybe get to a few NCAA tournament games in other sports. We have all this money but can’t spend on that? And you wonder why no one gives to athletics. They give alums nothing to be proud of.

Excellent suggestion!

Among the 6 million things that suck about the current unlimited Free Agency is the lack of a compensation system for teams.

Every other professional sports leagues have mechanisms in place to compensate teams that get raided by richer teams. They also award the top draft picks to the teams that finish at the bottom of the standings.

Jay Williams on ESPN suggested the same thing. There should be transfer fees to the school that loses the players like lower division soccer teams get when a player transfers to another club with more money higher division etc.
