Not sure what they have. We are slim in pitching and not clutch in hitting for the most part. I'm expecting 1 win this weekend 😒. Hopefully I'm wrong.

What happened with our pitchers? And who? I caught Bobby H complaining about pitching today, but only heard the last 5 seconds.

They are 7-0. They beat Indiana who is 1-6, but has played some stiff competition, they beat CofC 2-1 they are 6-1 and Hartford who is 0-3. The +/- run differential looks fairly big. I would think they would be the favorite, but it's baseball and we should have the crowd advantage.

Cerebral answer is yes, it's too early to tell.

My gut goes; Didn't I see where they scored 28 runs the other day against Indiana? Given our pitching uncertainty...... eek. My guess is we win Friday 7-5 and then get smoked the rest of the weekend.

It's not that anything happened to our pitchers. It's that we really only have Sanders and Bosnic (he's out still), and then everyone else is not what we need to battle in the SEC. And even they seem to be dropping like flies. So we basically have Sanders and that's it. We lost everyone last year to the draft, and didn't really replace what we lost.

It's like how Vin described the Dodgers staff some years back - There's Kershaw and Grienke, and then it's hold onto your hats.

Way way too early to gauge either team. Clemson may have circled the bases on two of those teams but only managed two runs against CofC. Their pitching,so far has been good. I think Gamecocks have better hitters than they have seen

It hasn't mattered who the coach is(was) pitchers have been blowing out their arm and having TJ surgery ever since Tanner took over as BB coach.

We are down four to one to Clemson in the fifth inning. Will probably get a solo home run in the ninth to make it a 6-2 final.

This team is pitiful. Can’t hit. Can’t pitch. Can’t throw.
This. How have you been at SC this long and not have either? I could understand us knocking the cover off the ball and not having pitchers. But having neither? It’s unforgivable in my opinion.

I hoped Tanner knew what he was doing when he hired Kingston, but it’s obvious Tanner just couldn’t get anyone better. He wasn’t that good at USF. It’s very concerning this is the best Tanner could do. I don’t blame him for Holbrook, as that was the logical choice despite what many believe in hindsight. It didn’t work. But Kingston, while not as epic of a collapse as Holbrook, might be a worse hire considering Tanner is a baseball guy and we absolutely were desperate to get that right.

That being said, get GG and keep Frank for Basketball. I’m terrified who we might get otherwise.

Leroy and I went possum hunting. I shot one but it hung up in the tree. Leroy said," I'll climb up and knock it down." Well Leroy went up and commenced squalling. Turns out the possum wasn't dead and it was a LYNX ( a souped up Bobcat). Leroy hollered down shoot! shoot!. I said," Can't Leroy I might hit you!". He said, "Shoot anyhow" "One of us needs some relief"!!!
Point being we need somebody new- they can't be no worse!

Actually started with Tommy John himself, if not some guinea pig before him. When was that, the 1970s? It has saved a lot of careers.

Was "surfing" on my Youtube app on my Firestick last evening and happened up a livestream of the LSU - Texas game at the Shriners Classic at Minute Maid Park. It's going to be long final weekend of OOC play for us.

Conference weekends appear to be no contest for the most part. Friday's games can be competitive at times. Saturday will depend on who is available from Friday night. I list Sundays as no hope. Hope I'm wrong.

I'd put a bridal on the Clemson happy dance. Cocks have done alot more in seasons when we've lost this early season matchup. Trophy case and Omaha matchups say hi. However, Clemson was better in every area that mattered all 3 games. Most important was situational hitting by far the best.

Tanner had a real shot at getting Chris Lemonis and he passed on him. Pain.
