I’m not sure what a collegiate players’ union would accomplish. It isn’t the schools that are paying the NIL money. The union wouldn’t level the NIL playing field. They NFLPA doesn’t.
There’s just no way that an offensive lineman will command the NIL of a high-profile skill player.
Maybe the ncaa will step in to control NIL in some way, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.
