and how badly will that effect our defense? who takes their place and who moves up to second string?</p>

and it hurts badly. Marcus Washington is currently slated to take AJ's spot. KJ Wright will replace or secure the slot left open by Jamon Hughes. All this according to the post spring depth chart. We could've survived the Hughes hit, but you don't lose an All SEC corner and not feel it.

if all this would have taken place last year instead of this year, i wonder how we would have recruited differently or if we would have at all...thoughts?

I agree, AJ is the worst hit. That's not to say the defense will be bad. I think they'll still be good, but not AS good as last year. That spells likely disaster for us unless the offense suddenly gains a pulse after all these years.
