I will be in attendance. Can’t miss a chance to attend a game in a stadium named after a State coach.

I had to choose between getting all 18 of my teeth pulled with no anesthesia or watch State play Saturday. So it was a tough choice by I think I'll suffer through watching the game even though it will be much more painful.

High temps are supposed to be mid-70s this weekend. I’d say there’s about a 0% chance I spend my Saturday afternoon watching this game.

My kid has an out of town baseball tournament Saturday. It just kills me that I can’t watch**

If I were home I’d probably watch until we were down 2 scores and then switch to playing Xbox. So maybe 6 minutes or so.

I love Mississippi State and always will, but there are other things I will do that are much more worth my time than sit there and watch us get embarrassed. It’s a hard no for me. Do some work, play with the kids, go on a hike, stuff like that.

I'll be at the game. I enjoy supporting my team, attending a new stadium, seeing a good team (Texas), etc., regardless of the outcome. If I only enjoyed college sports when Mississippi State won, I would have given up a long time ago.

I saw us lose 52-0 in Gainesville, 51-10 in College Station, 51-3 in Tuscaloosa, 31-3 in Athens... At this point, you can't even hurt my feelings.

Unless there is a Hope floats marathon on Lifetime, I will probably watch. It will be better than any horror movie on Netflix.

I really really hate to say this (and did say it in another thread w/ less verbage)
I have lived in Austin for 24 years and have gone to a few MSU vs aTm games in College Station. We won the last one w/ Leach and I was able to take my son to that and it was awesome.
I would have loved to play uTx any time in the 2010s and would have gone to that game. I am really, really struggling with going to this one because I just don't think it will be fun and I don't want to pay $600 (minimum) to take a family of 4 to have a miserable time. And it's not just the game - I don't know any MSU folks coming in for the game, and I have several uTx friends who have mentioned a tailgate, but I don't want to go to 5 different tailgates where I know 1 person at each, to be the token guy from MSU that everybody either feels sorry for, or openly mocks. It really sucks - there a no good options. But there is a much cheaper option, so I will watch from my couch until I can't take anymore and hopefully feel better about my selfish decision. Hopefully I'll regret this but I just don't think I will.

Also - I haven't seen any local folks replying to this thread about going, so I don't feel like I'm the only one who feels this way.

I’m done watching the shat show. I’ll decide how I feel about college football next season. It’s almost time to kill deer anyway.

Just depends on what I'm doing and how my schedule works out. I'm certainly not planning my day around it. But, if I find myself with nothing else to do while the game is on, I'll probably watch as long as I can stomach it.

I have a lot of yard work to do, so I probably won't even turn the TV on Saturday. I have no interest in watching us get embarrassed.

How many of y'all are going to skip the game outright?

If it is on, I will watch...well as usual I'll check in on other interesting games.

Not intending to make you feel worse, but the Houston score was 74-0. And the score was much closer than the game indicated.

As a person that has seen enough painful things in my life, no. I will not watch it… I do record the games just in case I check the score and it’s somehow close

I'll be on the golf course at Wolf Hollow at Co-Lin if any of you are in the area around kickoff.

We all know the outcome. I am just interested in seeing how MVB does. See if we have our future QB or not.

I kind of want to watch a little bit of it out of the pure hilarity of it

At this point, you can't even hurt my feelings.
Its not about your feelings anymore, its about stealing your money to give to some unknown player for them to spend on something unknown to leave you wondering what the return was on your unknown investment and if that unknown player is still playing for your favorite team or has he moved on to some unknown team with your money.

My dad told me this story many times, about how much he hated Houston because, in his words :
"They scored late in the 4th quarter to go up 72 to 0... and the sons of bitches WENT FOR 2!!!"

I was just talking to my wife about how I was really into the NFL (Titans and Saints) through most of the 2000’s. I think we may be coming up on another NFL era for me.

Mississippi State vs Florida (especially a beatable Florida) should have been appointment television for me, but honestly, I planned a fun day with my daughter, checked the score a few times, shrugged, and went on to have a great day.

If this was 2010-2020, I would have bought tickets to the Texas game (as I have done for most other sports we’ve played there) and planned a whole weekend in Austin. I’m pretty sure this Saturday will now mostly involve getting down the Halloween decorations and some activity my wife wants to do and I’m weirdly ok with that.
