I can’t bring myself to care about the constantly changing mind of a 17 year old kid. Once they are on campus and practicing, I usually begin to pay attention. With the portal, it’s even making that difficult. I’m more likely over time to not pay attention until the first game of the season.

Much less so with NIL, the Transfer Portal, and early signing... plus I feel like we haven't had the uncommitted signing day "surprises" and shenanigans that we've had in years past. Unless Dak, Simmons, Slay, Jones, and Cox start dumping a significant portion of their salaries into the Bulldog Initiative, we're always going to finish 20-28 nationally and 8-14 in the SEC and there's not a whole lot of difference between 20 and 28 or 8 and 14 in those scenarios.
Even when I did follow it with any sort of interest, it was always about 1-3 players each year or obvious shenanigans like the 2013 Ole Miss class.
