We want Bama to win and mess it up. Just to see the playoff committee have to leave out the SEC if Texas, UM and FSU win. That would be glorious.
That would be glorious but Bama is not beating UGA.

Most likely, yes. We need Michigan and Texas to win today for a PSU NY6 according to XM college football guys.
So you're telling me I should be rooting for Meatcheaten? I don't think that's going to happen.

Alabama wins, they jump Texas and Georgia falls to 4/5 depending on other games. Both will make everyone go nuts and cause plenty of chatter which College Football loves.

Iowa upsets Michigan, if that bumps Penn State out of the top Bowls I'd be very surprised. But willing to find out for a Michigan loss.

Yes, unfortunately. But, hey, if you like the Pinstripe Bowl or some other crap bowl, root for Iowa.

Sorry, I have a deep disdain for Iowa. As much as we despise UM, I hate them even worse. It’s probably mostly rooted in wrestling, but their football fans are from the same mouth breathing, knuckle dragging ilk.

If Iowa wins, they are a two loss conference champ. That means Michigan, OSU, and Iowa would all be in line for a better bowl than PSU. If Iowa wins, and no B1G team gets in the playoff, that bumps PSU down even further.

I get it, Iowa would jump up in the rankings. Penn State is currently ranked 10th in CFP. I don't think they will drop enough (probably 12th, with a G5 team getting auto-bid) to justify falling out of the NY6, and PSU is a hugely attractive team for the bowls. If that means 4 BigTen teams in the Peach/Orange/Fiesta/Cotton Bowls, ok.

Michigan loses to iowa. Texas wins, jumps OSU for the last playoff spot.

Penn State v Missouri
OSU v Oregon
Michigan v Alabama
Iowa v Tulane, because Tulane kills ratings anyway

If OkSt and Iowa both win, it's a separate and extremely unlikely conversation. And the big boy bowls would be pissed to lose Penn State.

Go Iowa!

Texas has head to head victory, kind of the ultimate tiebreaker over Bama. And there’s no way a one loss nonconference champion Georgia jumps undefeated, conference champs Michigan, Florida State, or Washington. Unless we’re talking, eye test, of course. This whole scenario is unlikely, but amusing to think about the mess they created.

I dislike Iowa. But the unwarranted arrogance that is Meatcheaten's stock in trade is worse. F them and anyone who acts like them.

He would deserve better.

What a complete horses arse that guy is. He is saying Alabama shouldn’t have scheduled the Texas game so therefore it shouldn’t count against them. He says Texas should get credit, but you can’t penalize Alabama. So again, how does that put Alabama ahead of Texas?

Also says just being undefeated shouldn’t be a criteria, or else FCS teams would be in. We are however talking about undefeated P5 conference champions, not FCS schools. What a childish argument that is.

He also says the SEC has 5 in top 15. Nothing like cherry picking statistics. Someone should have asked him a more relevant question; what conference has the most teams in the top 10?

This is the exact reason I want Alabama along with Michigan and FSU to win.

yeah, wonder if an Iowa win bumps PSU to the Citrus.
An Iowa win indeed bumps us down to the Citrus unless the unlikely scenario where we get a bump in the rankings to above Missouri because we beat Big Ten Champs Iowa.

Louisville takes a spot as the ACC rep in the Orange. An ACC team automatically goes there if FSU makes the playoff.

You missed an undefeated team. Sorry Bama.
You missed my post right above yours. I am the original undefeated P5 conference champs in ahead of 1 loss Bama guy. My post about apparently Bama too was in response to the shameless narrative obviously being set by the NCAA to dump FSU no matter what they did in their game.

One more time: NCAA has nothing to do with team selection for the playoff.

Ok thanks. I didn’t feel like typing out The College Football Playoff Committee and in an attempt to more quickly get to my point about a narrative clearly being pushed, I inadvertently attributed it the wrong governing body. It’s not that I was purposefully ignoring all of your prior posts to me about who the decision makers are, I just didn’t see them. Thanks again.

If you wanted to be efficient, more so than in your failed attempt, you could have typed CFP. You're welcome.
