Hypo: If you could choose one player from the Sherrill era...

I'd have to go Porkchop. 2nd Choice - Moulds. Its tough not to pick Moulds, but having an All-american LT instantly makes this years team much better, more so than a NFL caliber WR.
for this, but I don't care:
Kevin Fant. I know that people are going to shove stats and whatnot down my throat. But the fact remains the man had no o-line, no receivers, and no running game. Plus, he was pretty mobile until JWS decided to run an unneccessary QB draw that got him hurt. People are going to say that he tried to quit- most people under the circumstances would have.
I picked him because of all the QB's we have ever had, he was probably the best suited to run the WCO. He had the arm, he was mobile, and he was a pretty smart QB. I really think he could handle Croom's offense, and would do well with what we have right now on offense.
I do know this- if Fant WAS on this team, there would be no talk of ANY two QB system.
Now for a disclaimer- My favorite player during the JWS era was Barrin Simpson.

Dicenzo Miller clones. Jerious was more talented. Hell, Dontae was more talented out of high school, but I just loved watching Dicenzo Miller running the ball.....or blocking for that matter.
He was very much a self-made ball-player. I never once got the impression that he was laying down.....(which reminds me of JJ...there was another one that I would love to have back!)

Hell, I agree with you. In the thread up top some want to say Madkin's OLs didn't pass block well, but that's just ********. I never, ever saw Madkin get hit 2, 2.5 steps into a 7 step drop. I saw Fant get hit 2, 2.5 steps into a drop more times than I care to remember. His OLs couldn't cast shadows, because they couldn't block sunlight. Of course, by need, I still think the choice has to be either Pork Chop, Moulds, or Ed Smith/Greg Favors. But Fant is certainly a legit consideration, as far as I'm concerned.
