Wow. Time to take a few days off. There are enough hysterical posters on here to remind one of a middle school pajama party. Nobody knows the outcome of this yet. The end results may not be worthy of the sky is falling mentality. I've supported the gamecocks since the mid 60's. There have been good times and terrible times. I'm willing to wait til we see the results of all this portal crap. Maybe the fat lady hasn't sung ye

If you've been supporting the gamecocks since the mid 60's, you're old enough that you should be protecting your health. Your heart might not take a portal offseason. Come back for spring ball. :)

(Meant in jest, if the smiley face didn't convey that)

Do tell, with the max exodus going on, what precisely should we hang our hats on for positivity? College football is dead.

Most of us aren't hysterical, we're just leaning towards indifference. Our program isn't going to be able to compete in this unprecedented NIL era, which means the product on the field is not really any fun to watch.
Except for 4-5 years of Spurrier, our program has never competed.......all due respect to Tommy S in '69 (58% winning percentage).

Maybe so, but we could get a few good players now and then and have some hope for a 7 or 8 win season. Now I'll be surprised if we will ever see 7 again in my lifetime. That makes us want to think about investing our time and money on other things.
