I blame absolutely 0% of this game on Relf.

How is Relf supposed to get into a rhythm when he is chunking the ball down the field 30 yards every 4 plays? Relf is at his best, as we saw on one drive tonight, when he is moving around and given the opportunityto makeshort passes. He throws a good ball moving to his right. Why don't we let him do that more?

Relf looks bad right now, but I don't blame him. Our use of him, and our current playcalling are to blame. Relf should be pissed right now because he is the leader of this offense, and the playcalling is making him the most ineffective man on the offensive side.

No options, no designed draws, no playcalls to force the defense to get the hell out of the middle of the field and open up running lanes for either him or Ballard/Perk. I like Relf in this offense, but our offensive staff is doing him and our team a huge disservice with the current offensive playcalling.

Many of us were under the impression that Relf had really progressed in the passing dept over the summer and fall. He hasn't. He still no accuracy over 15 yards.
He has improved a little, I mean last year he missed receivers by 10 yards and now he only misses them by 5. My problem is that we know that so why do we keep calling for him to throw the long ball? Why not more short passes and rollouts?

Agree with both. We didn't run the option once. Running up the middle on 1st and Goal again. We did that against Auburn 3 times, nothing. We did it against LSU, nothing. And we did it again tonight.

The playcalling is the issue. No screens, no rollouts (except that one possession), and no option plays. Wow, is all I can say. This isn't on Relf.

COACHES!!!!!! let him roll out or run the option. Letting the D tee up on our team up the middle is stupid. #Offensive linemen are young!

We ran a read option about 50% of the time. It might not have been your older brother's Eric Crouch option, but it was pretty heavy in the playbook tonight.

and let me say, our passing game is not very sophisticated. We seem to only have about 4 different pass plays. I would love to see a few more rollouts to get Relf out of the pocket. Or maybe a post corner instead of the same deep post to Arceto every game. </p>

The read option is the reason we are all pissed. It has been ineffective the last two games. We ran not one speed option tonight. We've run that so many times in the past and been successful, and it seems like after we failed to put it in the endzone against Auburn with the speed option, we just said screw it lets throw that away.

I didn't understand why we never ran the option either. I felt like we could have ran up and down the field running the option. Our play calling is mind boggling.

I said this a couple of weeks ago, his numbers got highly inflated at the end of 2010 with the two 80 yard screens to Perkins. He still cannot put touch on the ball or air under it.

Louisiana Tech just showed the world, load up the box and make Relf's arm beat you. Odds are it will not.

What happened to the screen to Perkins and the option. We didn't run the option a single time tonight.
