Certainly if State had ANY plan in the future to do that they wouldn't spend over a million dollars putting a new roof on now. Plus construction would be difficult with the practice facility there. <div>
</div><div>So that means our next step improving/expanding/replacing the Hump would be what? Nothing? For how long? We have a 20 year possible rendition of the football stadium and OM is building a new coliseum, so you'd think we HAVE to have some plans for the Hump. Andnow that we do have the basketball practice facility there, how would that affect any future basketball coliseum plans? </div>

we would put them at the mid-level, move concession stands to the other side of the concourse, and pretty much have exactly the same seating arrangement other than that. Other thing is, would there be the demand for suites, or are the courtside seats already filling out that market?

My guess would be since the football stadium is much more visible (plus, all the talk of expanding it), long-term plans are in place and were made public. I would imagine long-term plans for all the athletic facilities has at least been brought up, if not discussed with architects and engineers. The football stadium plans are probably more marketing and publicity than anything else (to get people excited about the future since it is far more visible than the Hump). <div>
</div><div>I think the next step will be simply building a new arena, but like I said, that is probably at least a decade or more away. I think the football stadium and Dudy Noble are the next big projects after the football facility. </div>

That does not need to take "years".

a couple of years ago, and he said that it would be exteremely difficult and the only real changes would be inside cosmetics. He said that a new arena was going to be necessary, but would be years down the road.
