When glfr copied and pasted one of his long rants from earlier to page 5, (WTF dude) I knew the hammer was coming quick.
Don’t stray off topic. This is solely to point out how Big Pharma has taken over everything, including this board. I bet POTUS and GLFR are currently at phizer retreat shooting blue pill laced Jell-O shots off a hukers back side while laughing at the rest of us bums. It’s a game to these people, man!

Once glfr and others brought in issues that had nothing to do with the topic, it went down hill pretty fast. Plus, when you start to insult instead of discuss, that is usually when it goes down hill fast.
I posted about Due Process on page 1 in post 15 of 181. The thread stayed open, didnt go downhill, and had a bunch of discussion(much of it interesting) well past when I mentioned the Due Process concern.

If you mess with the Devil you get the horns, and I dont feel like getting stuck. So since I respectfully dont mention you or reply to you, try to do the same.

Do you think that was it?

It seems like every time I write to convince folks that DT is not as bad as people think threads get locked up immediately.

Or am I just paranoid?

Maybe I'm paranoid.

Perfect example of why democrats lose to republicans. While the GOP is process of self-immolating by pissing off the middle class/majority of the country with additional taxes/inflation, someone on the left has to come off from the top rope with some "but let's talk about all these other things they grind my gears" gripe. Don't change the argument. Just hand them some rope and win an election.

If it wasn't for big pharma a lot of people I love wouldn't be alive. They make a lot of money, but they do a lot of good too. I don't have a problem with that.

First, I didn't just say you alone took it off topic, there were others as I said. Second, do you get some kind of kick out of being a condescending butthole? I mean telling people what they should think, and what they should say. I will agree with another poster from the locked thread when I say if you were half as smart or funny as you seem to think you are, then you would be dangerous.

I know you said 'glfr and others', so yes, I understand you didnt say it was me alone. I pointed out that the thread had barely started when I posted off topic, so I dont think that is when it went downhill(therefore dont include me).
If I am telling people what they should think, I dont see that as really any different from most people who are posting opinions in disagreement to others. And if I am telling people what they should say, well my bad there because I dont even know when that has happened.

This thread was started as what I read to be lighthearted joking around- blaming something for the lock that wasnt the reason. Posts 2 and 3, one of which by you, then respond serious. Lame.

Again- you dont want me bringing you up and I respect that, so do the same.

Patently false. DS and Hadad are clearly backed by the corn industry and natural enemies of the teams behind Ozempic and salads.
Oh you simpleton. Big Corn loves Team Ozympic. Take this shot, eat less for a brief time, but come roaring back with a vengeance once your cravings develope and immunity to the injections

The way I remember it, glfr is not the one who brought up the trans issue. Someone made a comment along the lines of “at least RFK Jr doesn’t think he is a woman.”
They did go off on a diatribe after that.

Maybe so? I'm not going back to re-read. I do know he was the first to wonder out loud why the usual political post starters here have been silent on some things since Jan. I've noticed similar and probably agree on some of the things he might have brought up but point is that folks on the left have trouble taking a political gift and hammering it. They'll seek out intellectual perfection and turn it into a discussion on issues that only fringe left and right get worked up about. Stick to the basics.

My bad again, and I will take the blame for Harris losing the '24 election since we are at it.

All seriousness though, that first post ranted about Due Process and the insane Signal debacle as well as tariffs because I figured the thread would be locked very shortly after it got started. I thought I would go ahead and toss the kitchen sink worth of concerns in since a politics thread had actually been started.
It didnt cross my mind that a political thread would stay open for 5 pages. If I knew it would stay open, I would have stuck with tariff talk only.

I will kindly disagree with the idea that Due Process is a fringe issue because it seems like one of the basics that everyone should get worked up about.
