Like I said, he made a decision and got beat. The message he sent to his guys was that he was riding with them. You're not going to find a single coach at any level in any sport who bats 1000 on their in-game coaching decisions.

It was 4-2 at the time with guys on 2nd and 3rd. I don’t know many baseball coaches who choose to put the lead run on base. I get your thought process but Virginia had their closer in. Just an alpha vs alpha situation and thankfully we won. Not really a right or wrong answer there.

Thank you. In my opinion, which matters not at all, you are absolutely correct. We won. No one, necessarily, “lost”. A LOT was won in that AB.

OMG… Have you read “Straight to Hell” by John LeFevre? His story about having to take a dump on a corporate jet with peers/clients on board had me in tears! One of the funniest stories I have ever read.
