I want to Congratulate Ron Polk

Yea I said it...And I swear I did not sneak over here from Swan Lake. Being one of the usual crowd to come to this board and ***** about his "less than mature" antics and underachievement this year, this time I am here to congratulate him. Congratulations for the win last night Ron Polk. After all the people (including me) on this board who have been **** talking him, he finally out coached another teams coach. Beating Ole Miss might be the best thing that has happened all year. The team needed this win real bad and nobody on this board has told them congratulations. I want the team to succeed this year but its not going to happen. The least we can do is enjoy a win over Ole Miss. 17 Ole Miss.

Polk also needed this win and i'm happy for the old ball Coach. This season has sucked and after last weekend I thought there was no way that we would win this game. I almost fell off the bar stool at Dave's Dark Horse Tavern when I heard that we had won. Let's celebrate this victory and hope the team can run with this win and at least get back to 500.

you may be a moron, but good post. I too congratulate Polk on beating Mississippi one last time. Very good win for him on the way out.

you being a ma-ma-moron has nothing to do with Polk. I am ecstatic he beat Mississippi. I'm just wondering what 2nd grader typed it for you

You obviously didn't see my post about the Governor's Cup.

I will give the Devil his due, and it was fun for things to return "to normal" for at least one night.

in the past....now it's an achievement. When did Ron Polk last win an SEC series against them? 2004? I remember we went almost 10 years without losing a series to them.

.....to get into the SEC Tourney. We'll probably have to win it to get into a regional because our record likely won't be anywhere near good enough, but I think we'll at least make it to Hoover. The rest of the schedule is just a lot weaker, so it gives us that chance.

It'll probably take 13 wins to get there, meaning we'd have to go 10-5 over the last half of the season. I realize that the #8 team currently is only 6-9. However there are three teams tied for the 8th spot and one of them is likely to win 7 games over the last half of the season. Even if it only takes 12 (the only 12 win teams to ever finish 8th since the season expanded to 30 games had multiple rainouts), we'd still have to go 9-6. It just isn't going to happen. I don't think we'll go 3-12 over the last half, but I doubt we'll be above .500 the last half either.
