I can hold on until NFL football season ends. It is February that does me in every year. Once spring gets here and umpire shouts, "PLAY BALL!" I am ok, once again.
2 huge bags of treats one biscuit type the other like a meat jerky, a toy that makes a crunching sound (He Loves it) another that is a squeaky (he wants nothing to do with). And I ordered that mattress for dogs but it hasn't arrived.

I'm retired, have a loving wife, family, my health and financially secure. Everyday is Christmas for me.
Christmas is a season that starts on Christmas Eve and goes until the Baptism of the Lord. If only we would enjoy the season this long. My parents based everything especially the Christmas Season off the Catholic Church calendar and we had a lot of Italian traditions from my mom side for Christmas too. Both of my parents are now gone, but I try to uphold what they taught me. Today my teenage daughters said that they love our traditions.... that made my heart glow. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.
This. As an added bonus, both my children got promotions this week. We have worried about the older one for years, and earlier this year we had some serious talks where she told us how unhappy she was, and how much of a struggle every day was for her. She then quits her job in the middle of a pandemic. A couple of weeks later she finds a job she enjoys, working with people she likes, and on Friday she tells us she’s got a promotion and a raise. It’s been a good Christmas.
My wife is Puerto Rican and they do it right. Christmas starts on Christmas Eve and continues until January 6th which is 3 Kings. 2 weeks of Family, Friends and Music. Good times!
Agree with Potter on this one - I love the entire season, but Christmas Eve truly does have its own special magic. As wonderful as Christmas Day is, I can always already feel the absence of that special night. Still great but just not the same.

Meh. I’m glad it’s over. I’ve been watching Christmas commercials on TV since October. Now we can switch to fitness club commercials for awhile for the new year and get back to the betting commercials for the gamblers. Plus my house is full of unhealthy goodies I’m not supposed to eat. It’s gotten way over done.

I have been surreptitiously throwing out fudge and Chex Party Mix. Last week Jane made 83 pumpkin spice cookies and they were gone in 36 hours. (None were thrown out.)
