Be ready for the obligatory "I caught them at the Uptown Theatre in Chicago back in '77. The set was incredible and the band was tight" posts...

Jay Belcher was a left handed pitcher on the 1979 Baseball team. He was an ok pitcher but an unreal guitar player. He had the Jailbreak album and he would put it on and figure out all the riffs and leads and just tear it up. He showed me how to play Jailbreak (and a bunch of other songs)

I knew I liked you, Maroon Eagle. These are two of my very favorites. That Irish 17er was the truest and best rocker to ever breath air.

Saw Phil Lynott’s statue in Dublin. Dude could play.

The times before I’ve been in Dublin I stayed within easy walking distance of the statue and saw it just about every day I was in the city.

I’ve not made it back there since the mid-teens and would like to go back. I checked the prices on hotels and B&Bs recently and prices have doubled…
Outstanding music, notwithstanding the fact that I had to listen to it on my 8 track tape player.
Notwithstanding or…. because. 🙂
