I wouldn’t say that. It’s a one year commitment. Has to decide which coach and situation will position him better for a bigger pay day next year and the next.

Exactly. Obviously money is important but a lot of these kids are smart enough to look a year down the road. The right coach, the right system, the right opportunity makes a huge difference. Apply the same principles to your employment. If you were offered a job with a 10k raise but it was working under a boss that is overly demanding, fires a lot of people and was ran different than what you are use to would you take that chance are stand pat at your current job where you are comfortable ?? Not all these kids are stupid

But we're not talking about $10k, we're likely talking 6 figures difference for one year. No matter what, most are taking the money.

We are going to overpay this year for several positions. I honestly believe that. We have the money to do it short term. We are a complete rebuild and if we don’t spend we may not recover for a very, very long time. It will costs us way more moving forward if we don’t pay this year

Not true in this instance, but Maalik Murphy is visiting Auburn today. Hopefully can get a commitment out of him and JA never steps foot on campus.

and he's their top QB target, we can consider him gone. There's no way we can win a bidding war against them. Hopefully they have other targets.
State fans don’t want to hear this, but it’s true. History backs it up ten times over, and if it comes down to $, we’re not going to be able to keep up.

Then, if it’s not all about money, that’s great, but we’re a 2-10 team that wasn’t even competitive this season, and even the most hopeful fans aren’t banking on anything better than 4-5 wins next year. Someone please explain to me why a 5* QB would look at that situation and think… yeah, that’s where I need to be to make it big

I can play for a coach I’m somewhat familiar with and obviously like and respect, or roll the dice with Hugh Freeze.
Exactly. Hugh is a different system where he may or may not shine plus he’ll get blamed if they lose. Will he get good attention with Hugh for future NFL scouts?🤷🏼‍♂️

Just show him tweets from Bo Wallace about the Reverend Freeze. If Arnold still decides a few extra dollars are worth what Freeze is gonna do to him, then good luck....

Dak would disagree with you about making it big at little ole Mississippi State.

How many QB's has Lebby put on NFL rosters? Is that something he's known for doing? I really don't know.

None to my knowledge. He is known as a QB guru but Dillon Gabriel is his claim to fame as far as I know. Matt Corral maybe ?

If Golden Corral had his head screwed on even slightly straight he'd be on a NFL roster. Looks like he was on the Vikings roster, but waived in late August.

If they are offering $1mil and we're offering $900k, I'm going to the barn.
Most players would pick the barn if we were offering 1.2m and AU was offering 1m. It's just like coaches, we have to pay a premium to get people to come here. Bama gets the discount. We don't. Fully retail. Scratch that. Airport prices.

I don't believe that at all. With fans like you, we don't need enemies.

Basically choosing between 2 dumpster fires. Everything being equal, one has about 40k attendance and the other has 80+K attendance.
