Could have watched Saban this afternoon. Put in a mobile QB, pound the rock, safe throws, don't do anything complicated. Wear them down in the second half. Ole Miss was crushed late in the game.

who would we "pound the rock" with? Woody? he would have been knocked out of the game after 10 plays. i would tend to agree with you back in the days of Dixon, Ballard and Robinson but not these guys.

It's hard to believe we still have people calling for us to pound the rock and not using asterisks. Or calling for Mike. We absolutely can NOT run block. Period. We can barely pass block against this weak DL. Were you watching the game ?? Will Tulu and Zavion decided to just go out and play street ball thank God. Otherwise we would have been crushed.

It’s like some people have this romanticized notion of how football should be played. Back in the days of Woody Hayes and Bo Schembechler, three yards and a cloud of dust. The Air Raid really upset that notion and they’re desperate to get back to it, even if it means we won’t be competitive because our O line can’t run block for shite.

I had thought before the season that would be a worst case scenario. we try a run heavy pro style offense, can’t run it because it fails to fit our roster. lose games and in desperation try to run a watered down air raid.

that would be ironic because we let all of the offensive staff go and yet we are still trying to run a similar system out of desperation.
