again, we disagree. I think the portal could be relevant if he left. You don't... Thats fine.... You are convinced there is no way they take a QB. Im not, if the right situation comes about. You never know who could "fall in our lap" this year if the need should arise...

If Beamer wanted a portal QB and IF there was a compelling enough QB in the portal for us, he wouldn't wait around for Spencer to make up his mind.

ok..... if you say so.....

Look, I want Spencer to stay. I don't want to see him go. But if he did, we basically have little to zero experience in the QB room. If there was a Jason Brown type QB out there with some meaningful game experience, I do believe Beamer would take a hard look at that option. Hopefully we wont have to know because Rat decides to come back and we continue practicing and developing our young QBs....

So you tell him "Good-Bye" because he is taking time to make a difficult decision and didn't make it instantly like you do with all of your decisions, but you want him back? Seems pretty contradictory to me.

May be a good sign that Rattler may be leaning towards returning because Beamer has not gone after a portal QB. Hard to believe if there was a chance that he was leaving that they would not at least have made a run at landing Hartman.

I get the sentiment. The longer they wait to make their decision the more we miss out on recruiting someone really good to replace them.

He's not going to bring in portal QB knowing it would drive Rattler away for sure. That would be just plain stupid. Beamer is in invested in Rattler now we are going to see how much that means the other way.

not contradictory at all. You just want to argue. Im just saying, as I have in every response, in my opinion, the decision should have been made by now. You don't agree, thats fine. I explained why I felt this way, you don't agree, fine. I never said you were wrong, I never said you didn't make valid points, I just expressed how I felt about the situation. I thought we finished our conversation several post ago, and here you are still banging a dead horse between us.

We disagree, life goes on....

Let me recap - again this is a recap, not arguing.

OP posts a Good bye to Rattler and Juice because they have taken their time on the decision - seems as if he doesn't want them because they have taken their time.

@18IsTheMan makes post saying he doesn't want players leaving early, but understands the reality

OP doesn't like that take and agrees to disagree

I post showing the reasons why Smith and Pickens' decisions were much easier, pointing out it's ignorant to think this is a decision you can make in the snap of a finger (I did leave out that Pro Scouts may give different feedback now vs Dec vs Nov vs Aug, etc)

OP doesn't read any of it apparently, except the last line, which seems like he read it all, and is mad I call it ignorant to make a comment saying these guys should already know.

OP then tells me not to throw insults (while I wasn't insulting you, seems you took it that way) and then insults me in the same sentence. Agrees to disagree

OP and 18istheMan go back and forth and OP agrees to disagree while sharing points that 18istheman is wrong.

OP agrees to disagree with me, but goes back and forth, but is not happy about not getting the last word.

Summary: OP doesn't like you disagreeing with his very one-sided take on a message board that is meant for discussion and opposition. This will be my last line since apparently that's all he can read if it's more than a 2 sentence response

By all accounts, the offensive system that Loggains will be running (with lots of input from Beamer), will be much simpler than the complex, verbose, complicated scheme/play book used by Satterfield. Rattler will have all spring, summer, and fall to learn a simpler system designed around his talent/skills.
And I’m betting Loggains can help our qbs more than Satterfield ever did.

Or Rattler could still just be undecided like he said.

I’m no football expert. And I will also say that I hope Rattler stays here for all the college football eligibility he has left. He is GREAT. With a couple weapons around him he can be an absolute nightmare for opposing teams.
But he threw an awful lot of interceptions I seems. I would assume that the NFL would want to watch a little more before they throw millions his way, unless he signed as a free agent making a lot less kind of like what Shaw did. Get stuck on a practice squad and then just kind of fizzle out and then become an insurance salesman. If I had to guess I think staying another year is probably making the most sense. But the NFL may think otherwise for all I know.

then we can freak out about wether he stays here or teleports somewhere else! Eep!!!

On another note. I hooked up with a friend who gave me a tour of the football facilities. The best thing to be was the gym because I love to lift. They have access to so much cool stuff. Cafeteria full food always available that would put a cruise ships food to shame. If I were luckily enough to be a player at Carolina, I’m milking the experience for all it’s worth.

Disagree. The portal is open and they need to know exactly what they need at what position. If Rattler leaves, we have no QB experience except the small amount that Doty has played. It could be beneficial to find a QB with some experience if needed... I do believe if a receiver is available, they of course will go after those...
Wrong. <shocking> No QB experience huh? Joyner says hello........ smh.

I'd rather see Joyner playing QB in his last season anyway. He's better than Rattled. On two side notes, Rattled ain't ready for the draft and likely wouldn't be drafted at all - and I don't even know who Wells is so he ain't getting drafted either. People need to stop filling these kids heads with pipe dreams. Rattler needs to come back and try, yet again, to learn from mistakes he clearly has not learned from. He's not ready.

also..

We agree to disagree... No problems.. However, I am not as convinced or confident as you that if rattler decided to leave they would not take a QB in the portal if the right option/fit was available

this would be the reason I think Beamer should know... Again, Im not sure they would look in the portal, but I have no idea what they would be thinking if this were to occur..
No need to take a QB in the portal. We have Joyner and he's better than Rattled anyway.

As far as Rattler is concerned, next year is a much more favorable draft class for QB anyway.

Not going to debate the DK situation. He is truly the ultimate gamecock. I enjoy watching him play. However, there is a reason that he has been here 5 yrs, under two coaching staffs, numerous OC's, and has never been "the guy".... I personally don't know why, but there is a reason

Saw a rumor on Twitter "per inside sources" (we all know how that goes) that Rattler is waiting to see how the OL shapes up. I don't know how much merit there is to that since I don't think there will be any great change to our OL between now and 1/16 when he would have to declare.

Not a troll, cat doesn't have my tongue, etc.... I just don't live every spare minute I have on the message board. I do Enjoy reading it when I get a chance and post occasionally..... I'm glad you all where able to enjoy your rebuttal's and be the big men behind the keyboards.

As a gamecock, I am glad they are both coming back, I just had a difference of opinion on how I felt a situation like this should be handle. You disagreed.
