If you play more than four years of College Fb you shouldn't be eligible to win the Heisman

Penix is basically on the Tommy Boy plan, and I still hold a grudge regarding that Indiana win. Bo Nix is almost on the Tommy Boy plan and when he played in the SEC he didn't do didley.

Disagree. If a player is eligible to play, he's eligible for honors and awards. To make a blanket ruling like that (and I know you're simply providing an interesting point of view for conversation), we'd also have to exclude players who have been injured and made comebacks. Also, we're still currently seeing the end or near-end of the covid freebie season rule. That's an auto 6th season in some cases and at least a 5th in most all.
To the last point in the statement, the award is for the current season, not a lifetime award. Our own John Cappelletti wasn't even on offense until his junior season!

I cannot bring myself to count that Indiana "loss" as a legit loss b/c of the inane ruling on the TD. But that's not Penix's fault. He made a great effort, our DB made a great effort, and the result was there for all to clearly see.
Except the refs and replay official, apparently.

Get over it. As we all know, if the NCAA enacted such a rule it has to be fair, honestly regulated and well thought out.
