seems like the way it is working now that players who take 3-4 years to "develop" are a casualty. you cannot afford to have many players like this. If a player is not showing after 2 years seems like the are going to get displaced by a transfer. this is impacting the balance of HS recruiting (fewer of those guys) and growth in transfer recruiting. recruiting rankings now seem far less important. with roster limits it seems like fewer coaches can bring players in and spend years developing them. Kirby Smart made the comment during his ESPN interview that he needs DL payers to impactful in year two and of course go to NFL after 3rd year.

Yup been going on for a while. Of course there are fewer position coaches capable of developing players. They only know how to suck up and recruit
