Plan for new academic building at Penn State Abington advances

“UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Board of Trustees Committee on Finance, Business and Capital Planning advanced a proposal today (July 18) to construct the first new academic building at Penn State Abington in more than 50 years. The proposal will be considered by the full board at its meeting on July 19.  

The three-story, 85,554-square-foot building will house state-of-the-art learning and collaborative workspaces that support students as they prepare for careers in a rapidly evolving workforce. It will feature 17 classrooms, four laboratories, art studio space, faculty offices and student support spaces. ”




Penn State fundraising secures $430 million in 2023-24

“UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As Penn State concludes the first year of a new comprehensive fundraising campaign, still in its quiet phase, donors have already rallied to the call for support with campaign commitments of $430 million. That total represents strong endorsement of University President Neeli Bendapudi’s institutional vision and values, which the campaign aims to support. This fundraising success was driven by 71 gifts of $1 million or more, for a total of $224 million at that level. The University received gifts from an increased number of donors overall during 2023-24, reflecting broad-based support across the Penn State community.”



Three Penn State Health hospitals named among nation’s best by U.S. News

“HERSHEY, Pa. — U.S. News & World Report has named three Penn State Health hospitals among the best in the nation. The magazine recognized Penn State Health’s Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Holy Spirit Medical Center and St. Joseph Medical Center in its 2024-25 "Best Hospitals" rankings and ratings.

Overall, U.S. News ranked Hershey Medical Center as No. 1 in the Harrisburg metro region and No. 4 in Pennsylvania.”
